What was the date of your wedding? We got married on16th April 2022

How did you meet, and when?  We met online in 2012

How many dresses did you try on before you found the one? I tried on five wedding dresses in total before I found my ONE! I came in to view the Enzoani collection and fell in love with style Marlowe instantly.

Was there a theme or colour scheme for your wedding? Fresh yet glamorous spring theme; pale pink & blue with a gold colour pop.

How did you decorate your venue? Overhead ‘wow’ factor flowers, giant SLY & TY letters (our initials). Bespoke photo pod with flower decorations, table decorations from various suppliers

What music did you choose for the ceremony? Sam Smith ‘How will I know’ (aisle). Florence ‘We’ve got the love’ (leaving church)

What were your best decisions for the wedding? Customised wedding dress which allowed me to create two different looks and being creative with the floristry brief, pushing boundaries beyond just florals (integrating Pom Poms, hanging crystals/lanterns plus a photo pod with a floral backdrop).

What advice do you have for other brides? Have a clear theme and be creative with it, have fun designing your wedding. You don’t need a wedding planner, I used Etsy suppliers to bring a lot of my ideas to life. Make sure you have the major elements of your wedding booked well in advance, the details can follow later. Also, if you use a photo pod, think about hiring it during daylight hours for guest selfies.What was your budget? (Optional)Did you make any cost savings, and how?

What were your favourite moments? Walking down the aisle feeling beautiful in my dress, smashing the giant egg!Any funny things happen? Embarrassing moments? Easter Saturday was a 20+ sunny day so we had to smash the egg as soon as we arrived for the evening reception! The staff had to shield it with an umbrella/fan overnight before the wedding.

Did you follow all the traditions? No. Easter Egg instead of a cake. I did an impromptu speech! Our 7 year old son was first on the dancefloor performing a dance from Encanto, our first dance followed.What were the challenges of planning and organising the wedding? Getting all my bridesmaids to agree on a dress! Coordinating the details using multiple suppliers.
