We are on top of the trends here at TDR! We have just returned from Bridal Week Harrogate, the biggest buying show of the year, where we choose gowns for you to try on in the year ahead, and we are delighted to tell you that we are ahead of the game and already stock all of the trends we found from the collections of 2024!
From some of our beautiful brands, Sottero and Midgley, Casablanca, Rachel Allan, Ronald Joyce, Madi Lane, Josephine Scott, Justin Alexander, Morilee, Lillian West, Rebecca Ingram to Allure and Madison James – we loved catching up with our top-name brands and selecting the styles we know you will love when you visit us at TDR.
So, what did we see – and love?
Square necks
Necklines are always a trend we look out for each season, and the Spring 2024 collections brought a few different interpretations, but one we kept seeing is the square neck (as seen on Nicola Peltz at her wedding to Brooklyn Beckham, of course). A ballgown skirt works so well with a square neck, which accentuates the collarbone, and makes it a highly flattering feature.

Full Sleeves
Sleeves are getting their own moment in the spotlight – bringing the drama and we are here for it! Voluminous puff sleeves that highlight shoulders and collarbones and the totally trendy silhouette that starts with a little volume at the top, then tapers into a slim sleeve or wide cuff at the wrist.

Exposed Corsetry
The exposed corset – taking the inside, out! Raised and visible boning is definitely the thing for 2024, creating as it does, a uniquely flattering, structured silhouette, cinching in the waist and offering unparalleled support in a sexy, modern take on the traditional corseted gown.

Minimalist Chic
Elegant, sophisticated, sleek and SEXY! These are the gowns that waft in, float past us and are timeless in their appeal. Despite our love of detail and our passion for embellishment, we will always go starry-eyed when a fuss-free gown comes into the boutique or indeed leaves with a beautiful bride to wear it!

Ballgowns
Did we mention Disney princesses are back? In total juxtaposition to the minimalist chic trend, these full-skirted gowns leave A-line silhouettes in the dust. Often complemented with a strapless bodice, and featuring a flattering waistline, 2024’s ballgowns will feature everything from 3D floral embellishments to layers and layers of ruffled tiers.

Sheer Panels
One of the most ubiquitous trends this season, sheer layering is the way to go. Layers of organza with pearl and diamanté detail, cut-out panels giving a highly flattering silhouette —and sheer fabric sleeves, this feature might add extra allure, but still manages to come across as romantic.
