Do you do walk ins or is it appointment only?
If there is a fitting room free, then yes, definitely during the week! You are always welcome, we love being able to help all of our brides. Weekends however are so busy, we get booked up so quickly and as we would NEVER want to turn you away and will always get you into our beautiful gowns if we have time, we do recommend you always BOOK AN APPOINTMENT. You can do this through our website, through social media, on email or just give us a call! We are ALWAYS available!!!!!
What sizes do you carry?
We have almost 400 wedding gowns in store and the sizes range from a size 8 to size 30.
What if I plan to lose weight?
Completely fine!!! Most brides are, so do not stress. Depending on designer delivery dates and how close your wedding is, you can always defer from measuring. This means you have those few extra months to be nearer to the size you will be a couple of weeks before your wedding. However, once you are measured and the dress is ordered in the size nearest to you, this does not mean you have to stop losing weight! Your fittings with the seamstress will not be until 6 weeks before your wedding and a dress can be taken in up to 3 dress sizes without causing a problem, and trust us, our seamstress is AMAZING!!! So, do not stress, you are in safe hands and rest assured your wedding dress will fit you perfectly on your wedding day.
When is the best time to start looking for my bridal gown?
It is never too early to start looking for your bridal gown, usually the first thing you organise for your wedding are your venue and wedding gown! The rest should fall into place after these two are ticked off your list (ish). A wedding gown will take 6 – 9 months to come into store depending on designer delivery dates. But you also must include time for deferring measurements and alterations after your dress arrives in store. So, to avoid any extra added stress to your wedding planning, if you allow from 8 – 12 months before your wedding, you will be fine.
We also would recommend that when you start looking for your wedding gown, always be prepared to buy within 3 – 4 weeks. This is purely to avoid disappointment, designers will give bridal boutiques 3 – 4 weeks’ notice if a dress is to be discontinued, so if you find a gown that you love and return to store in 4 months’ time, the dress may not still be there. So,
How long does it take for a dress to be ordered?
Delivery dates vary between designers, but it will usually take 6 – 9 months for your dress to arrive in store.
Who do I bring with me?
You are welcome to bring whoever you like with you, but we recommend maximum 3 – 4 people but usually 2 – 3, being your nearest and dearest. We also recommend that the people you bring with you are people whose opinion you value deeply as otherwise it can become extremely confusing and distressing for you and can in turn, affect the decision you make.
What happens after ordering?
Once your dress has been ordered and you have been measured, you leave the rest to us. Your dress will arrive in store within 6 – 9 months (sometimes earlier, sometimes later) and we will call you within half an hour of your dress arriving in store. After this call, you must book an appointment to come into store within 2 weeks to try the gown on and check it all over, after this you need to book your fittings. Your first fitting will be 6 weeks before your wedding and our seamstress usually works on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday but will fit you in wherever suits you, we are very flexible! You will then have your first fitting and the seamstress will advise you as to when your second fit will be which is usually 2 weeks before your wedding.
What do I bring to my fittings?
For your fitting with the seamstress, which is usually 6 weeks before the wedding, you will need the shoes you will be wearing on the day and a bra (if you need one). The seamstress will usually either sew bra cups into your wedding gown or if you prefer, you can bring one of your own bra’s that you feel comfortable in and she will cut this up and sew this into your wedding gown instead.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we have parking at the front and the back of the shop.
