In a recent discussion with the CEO of Bridal Collective, the Bridal house responsible for Brands Enzoani, ÉLYSÉE, PEN·LIV & Portrait, we delved into how the bridal industry might evolve over the next five to ten years, and the insights were fascinating. CEO, Mary Nguyen, spoke about the rapid advancements of technology and AI, which are reshaping many industries, including bridal fashion. While predicting long-term changes can be difficult due to the speed of innovation, Mary offered a clear perspective on what the next five years could bring to both the industry and one of our favourite designers Enzoani and we were excited to have a long discussion and insight into the brand.
According to the CEO, we are likely to see the industry undergo a significant transformation or “cleanse.” This could mean a reduction in the number of designers offering similar, overlapping styles. As the market becomes more refined, there will be a greater emphasis on designers and brands offering something truly distinctive, allowing brides to find gowns that reflect their individuality rather than selecting from a sea of similar options.
Another key trend the CEO noted is the increasing desire among brides for shorter lead times. With technology making everything more accessible and fast-paced, the traditional long waiting periods for wedding dresses may no longer fit the expectations of modern brides. This shift will place pressure on wholesalers and designers to adapt by improving production timelines and logistics to meet this new demand for faster turnarounds. The bridal industry, which has always operated with a certain level of tradition and exclusivity, will need to balance maintaining its high standards of craftsmanship while becoming more agile in its response to these evolving needs.
As we look to the future, it’s clear that bridal fashion will continue to innovate, and those who are able to embrace technology and offer quicker, more customized solutions will be at the forefront of this exciting new era.
Question: As a CEO, do you have creative input in the design process? If so, what is your favourite trend for 2025?
Mary’s reply: While I may not be as hands-on in the day-to-day creative design process as our designers, I am heavily involved in every aspect of the business, ensuring that our product lines meet the diverse needs of brides worldwide. From a creative standpoint, my role is to make sure that our collections offer a wide variety of styles that cater to different tastes and markets. It’s important to acknowledge that bridal fashion varies greatly depending on where you are. For instance, the preferences in the U.S. are often different from those in the UK, so we strive to design with both markets in mind, making sure we stay on-trend while also offering timeless, unique options for brides in every region.
When it comes to my favourite trend for 2025, I have to say I’m excited about the shift toward more clean, understated dresses. Personally, I’m a fan of simplicity with a twist, and I must admit- I’m glad to see glitter stepping out of the spotlight. While glitter and heavy embellishments certainly had their moment, there’s something so refreshing about a return to clean, classic designs that focus on timeless elegance. By “clean,” I mean gowns that feature simple lines and traditional elements but with modern updates that make them feel fresh and relevant for today’s bride.
These gowns may seem minimalist at first glance, but they offer a sense of sophistication and grace that allows the bride to truly shine. Whether it’s through unique fabrics, subtle structural details, or a touch of unexpected design in the silhouette, I believe this trend strikes the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. It’s all about creating a statement without being overly elaborate, and I think this direction will resonate deeply with brides in 2025 who are looking for elegance and simplicity in their wedding day style.
Question: What trends are you excited about for 2026 in bridal fashion?
Answer: You’re getting a little sneak peek into what we’re excited about for 2026 at Enzoani, and let me tell you, we’re absolutely thrilled about the resurgence of romantic elements in bridal fashion! We’ve noticed a beautiful shift toward softer, more ethereal designs, especially with floaty skirts, delicate fabrics, and a dreamy, romantic vibe. There’s something so enchanting about this return to the softer side of bridal wear, where everything feels light, airy, and filled with love.
I think a lot of this trend comes from the influence of recent TV shows and movies, where romance and whimsy have taken centre stage in a lot of the fashion we’re seeing. These shows have captured the imagination of brides everywhere, inspiring them to embrace gowns that feel like they’ve stepped out of a fairy tale. It’s all about soft lines, flowing silhouettes, and an overall feeling of romance—perfect for brides looking to embody that timeless, elegant style on their big day.

What’s fascinating about the bridal industry is how trends evolve over time, and I’ve loved watching this progression firsthand. We’ve seen wedding dresses go from bold, sexy designs to glitter-heavy gowns, then move into clean, minimalist looks, and now its moving towards back toward something even more romantic. This return to dreamy, whimsical styles is all about bringing out the bride’s softer side while still allowing for creativity and personality in the details.
